Man In Coma After Being Struck By Hit-Run Driver In DC

A 22-year-old man was put under a medically induced coma after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in DC, NBC4 Washington reports.

Sam Kesselman was heading to work on a scooter when an SUV struck him and sped off at New Jersey Avenue and P Street NW around 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, the outlet says citing police and family.

Meanwhile, the recent Cornell University graduate has been put into a medically-induced coma due to the serious brain injury he suffered.

Metropolitan police have since released surveillance footage of the suspect vehicle, believed to be a white Mazda CX-5.

Authorities are offering a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
